Rebel Girls

“I have never written a word that did not come from my heart. I never shall.” Nellie Bly

I am so lucky to have stumbled upon yet another book that makes me feel so alive. I really don’t know how I would have spent the rest of my holidays if it wasn’t for this book, acting as a little companion to some of the disheartening moments I’ve felt in the past few days.

It really is a gem.

The book is called “Goodnight stories for rebel girls.”

These are real life stories of women, who have accomplished so much in defiance of  society’s expectations.

The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, the chapters are short, one page long. It reads like a fairy tale, but with more inspiration and oomph than any other traditional fairy tale.

Every single page gives me a jolt of energy.

How can I go back to being ordinary and safe when I know what women are capable of? And what if I am capable of achieving extraordinary feats as well?

So I challenge myself to live like these women, with as much passion and vigour as I possibly can. I will be purposeful, intentional and not let anything or anyone distract me from my goals.
